FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – October 26, 2015
Klehr Harrison Harvey Branzburg announced today that Gaetano Piccirilli has joined the firm as a partner in the Litigation Department. He was formerly a partner at Dilworth Paxson.
Piccirilli is a commercial litigator with a reputation for aggressive advocacy, problem solving and efficiency. The bulk of his practice is focused in the construction, real estate, banking, and securities industries. While at Dilworth, he was the firm’s main construction litigator for Pennsylvania and New York.
“My time at Dilworth was very enjoyable and I will miss my friends and mentors there, but when the opportunity to join Klehr arose, I didn’t want to pass it up. Klehr is a great firm that will allow me to grow my practice with cross marketing opportunities into new and more complementary practice groups with great reputations, particularly zoning and land use, corporate, and real estate. I view this move as a step forward for my clients,” Piccirilli said.
According to Michael Coran, Co-Chair of Klehr Harrison’s Litigation Department, “the firm was very impressed with Gaetano’s entrepreneurial spirit, which fits perfectly with our culture. His joining Klehr is a great lateral growth opportunity for us, especially since Gaetano’s practice is such a natural fit with our core areas.”
Piccirilli represents owners/developers, general contractors, construction managers, trade contractors, and real estate professionals. In commercial litigation, he handles claims litigation, securities issues, pension (multi-employer plan) litigation, and real estate disputes.
He often serves as outside “general counsel” to pharmaceutical and pharmaceutical consulting companies, fraternal organizations, and startups. Piccirilli has litigated several high profile cases, most recently as lead counsel for the national fraternity of Kappa Delta Rho, Inc. in the Penn State hazing case, and as lead counsel in a commercial/securities dispute with NASDAQ- traded Pernix Therapeutics.
Piccirilli graduated from Temple University, summa cum laude, in 2001, and from Temple’s Beasley School of Law in 2004. He is admitted in New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.
For five years, Piccirilli was an appointed member of the Pennsylvania State Real Estate Commission, and was elected Chairman of the Commission in 2013. He serves as a board member of The Caring People Alliance, and The Second Chance Foundation, and was formerly the President of Girard Estate Neighbors Association.
