PHILADELPHIA (November 12, 2020) – Klehr Harrison is pleased to announce that Sarah Herman recently joined the firm as a tax associate.
Herman joins the tax practice group as part of the corporate and securities department and is based in the Philadelphia, PA office.
Herman focuses her practice on a wide variety of tax planning and controversy matters for both individuals and entities. She counsels clients with respect to structuring cross-border investments, including matters related to Subpart F, PFICs, FIRPTA, treaty interpretation and application, and withholding and information reporting regimes, including FBAR and FATCA reporting obligations. She advises her clients on a variety of federal, state, local and international tax matters and related fiscal arrangements. She previously worked at a boutique tax law firm in New York City before joining the firm.
Herman earned her LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law, her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and was a member of the Order of the Coif, and her B.A., summa cum laude, from Franklin & Marshall College.
