Thomas Ayala Expands Klehr Harrison Litigation Department

Ayala brings with him more than 15 years of complex civil litigation experience with an emphasis on product liability, environmental exposure, corporate and fiduciary, commercial litigation and bankruptcy-related litigation. He has participated in high stakes litigation proceedings on matters involving occupational exposures, premises liability, corporate reorganizations, commercial disputes, medical devices and pharmaceutical drugs. The healthcare, construction, engineering, technology and insurance industries have been of particular focus to his practice. Ayala also works with businesses in the creation and enforcement of compliance programs, due diligence related to potential acquisitions, contracting, warranty and labeling counseling, and internal investigations and responses to subpoenas, site audits, and investigations by various federal and state government agencies. He has appeared in both state and federal courts throughout the country representing plaintiffs and defendants ranging from multinational corporations to state attorneys general to individuals.

Prior to joining the firm, Ayala was a partner at a national litigation practice where he focused on pharmaceutical and medical device litigation. He spent the majority of his career with an international AmLaw 100 firm serving as national and regional counsel, with substantial experience spanning the litigation spectrum, as well as corporate counseling. As a law clerk to the Honorable Judge Eduardo C. Robreno of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Ayala was actively involved in the administration of matters under both federal and state law.

He received his J.D. from the Villanova School of Law, summa cum laude, and his B.A. from Nova Southeastern University.
