PHILADELPHIA (July 26, 2021) — Klehr Harrison Harvey Branzburg LLP congratulates William R. Hinchman, former litigation department Co-Chair, who has accepted a new position as Deputy General Counsel for Univest Financial Corporation, a longtime client of the firm.
“This is an exciting opportunity for me to continue working with a client for whom I have worked for over twenty years,” said Hinchman. “Of course, it will be difficult to leave Klehr. There are so many great people and wonderful memories, and I am very thankful for the experience I gained. Univest, though, offers a unique opportunity for me since I will be working with colleagues I know well and dealing with matters that I have handled for Univest as their outside counsel. I am thrilled to be joining General Counsel Megan Santana to address the legal needs of the company as it continues to grow and expand.”
“It’s always hard to lose an attorney of Bill’s caliber,” said Jonathan Krause, who served as Co-Chair of the Litigation Department alongside Hinchman. “The groundwork he laid and the leadership he provided helped establish the department as the respected practice that it is today.”
Managing Partner, Brad Krouse, added, “We are proud of Bill and all of his accomplishments with the firm, and we thank him for his many contributions. We look forward to continuing to work with Bill in his new role and with Univest, and we wish him all the best as he starts this new chapter of his career.”
Hinchman is well known within the legal community as a skilled, experienced litigator with decades of experience in all facets of commercial litigation, debtor-creditor matters, and insolvency. He regularly teaches for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy and the Pennsylvania Bankruptcy Institute. A former trial attorney with the Army’s Judge Advocate General’s Corps, he volunteers for the Disabled American Veterans.
