PHILADELPHIA (July 23, 2024) – Klehr Harrison Harvey Branzburg LLP is proud to announce that Leonard B. Altieri, III, an associate in the Real Estate and Finance Department, has been appointed to the Central Delaware County Authority (CDCA). The CDCA is an independent, non-profit agency that assists local municipalities with the installation and operation of water and sewer services.

Altieri focuses his practice on the land use and zoning aspects of real estate development. He works collaboratively with municipalities, RCOs and governmental agencies to achieve zoning and/or land development approval for various types of residential and commercial projects. Prior to joining the firm, Altieri represented various municipalities, school districts and zoning hearing boards where he advised and defended his clients on Zoning & Land Use, Federal Civil Rights, Political Subdivision Tort Claims Act, Public Official Liability and Premises Liability.
Extensively involved in his community, Altieri currently serves as an elected member of the Newtown Township (Delaware County) Board of Supervisors, wherein January of 2022, his colleagues elevated him to the position of Board Chair. In 2023, Delaware County Council appointed Leonard to the Delaware County Redevelopment Authority where he currently serves as Treasurer.
Prior to his election to the Board of Supervisors in 2019, he served on the Marple Newtown Board of School Directors from 2013 to 2019, holding various leadership positions on the School Board. He also served on the Newtown Township Planning Commission from 2013 to 2018, serving as Commission Secretary from 2015 to 2018.
He received his J.D. from Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law and his B.A. from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.

The CDCA is an independent, non-profit agency created by the then Delaware County Commissioners to assist local municipalities with the installation and operation of water and sewer services. The CDCA Board is made up of appointees from each of the municipalities that feed into the CDCA, including Newtown Township, Edgmont, Upper Providence, Marple, Springfield, Ridley, Nether Providence, Morton, Swarthmore, Rutledge, Prospect Park and Ridley Park— all the municipalities of the lower Crum Creek Watershed.
