The former site of the Byberry Hospital (aka the Philadelphia State Hospital) is undergoing a transformation into a 656,904-square-foot logistics and distribution center, reinforcing the area’s role as a logistics hub. The project marks the culmination of a 20-year effort by Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC), Philadelphia’s public-private economic development corporation, and the City of Philadelphia to redevelop the land.

Herc Grigos will join a panel for the Urban Land Institute on June 3, 2025, discussing the challenges, innovations and key partnerships that were needed to accomplish this transformative project.
