Attorney Caixia Su Joins Dean’s Counsel Conversation with Drexel Law’s Dean Filler

On November 18, 2025, attorney Caixia Su, serving as a Dean’s Counsel, was invited to meet with Dean Daniel M. Filler of the Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law.

At the meeting, held at the Union League of Philadelphia, Su and fellow Dean’s Counsel—alumni of the law school—discussed the current job market for law graduates, Drexel Law’s impressive rise in national rankings and ways alumni can remain connected to and engaged in the school’s continued growth. Su also emphasized her particular care and support for the Drexel Global JD Program.

Notably, Drexel Law graduates constitute Klehr Harrison’s third-largest source of attorneys. Su graduated magna cum laude from Drexel Law in 2019. The Dean praised her as an outstanding star of the Global JD Program, noting that she is also one of the few alumni with an international background to serve as Dean’s Counsel. Su and Dean Filler additionally discussed potential avenues for collaboration to support Drexel Law’s presence and partnerships in China.

Su focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation and corporate litigation in Delaware, providing comprehensive support throughout various stages of legal proceedings. Her work includes conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and dispositive motions, and facilitating pre-trial discovery and document production.

With a distinguished academic background from China, Su was a nationally recognized legal scholar and professor at Zhongnan University of Economics & Law before relocating to the United States. Over the course of more than a decade, she served as a full professor of law, a director, and an associate dean, taught, and authored (or co-authored) four treatises and over 70 papers, establishing her reputation in China’s legal community. As a native Mandarin speaker with a deep understanding of both Chinese law and U.S. legal practices, Su has represented clients with Chinese backgrounds in a range of matters, including mergers and acquisitions disputes, shareholder disputes, contract disputes and employment issues. She remains committed to serving Chinese clients.
