Altieri Joins Zoning and Land Use Practice at Klehr Harrison

PHILADELPHIA (August 2, 2022) – Klehr Harrison Harvey Branzburg LLP is pleased to announce that Leonard B. Altieri, III joined the firm as an associate in its Zoning and Land Use Practice Group in the Real Estate and Finance Department. Altieri brings extensive municipal experience navigating land use and zoning projects with him to the firm.

Altieri focuses his practice on the land use and zoning aspects of real estate development. He has experience representing various Municipalities and Zoning Hearing Boards where he advised and defended his clients on Zoning & Land Use, Federal Civil Rights, Political Subdivision Tort Claims Act, Public Official Liability and Premises Liability. He has worked collaboratively with numerous municipalities and governmental agencies to achieve zoning and/or land use approval for various types of residential and commercial construction projects.

With his interdisciplinary background and experience as corporate counsel, he brings a unique skill set to the challenges that residential and commercial developers face throughout the land development process.

Extensively involved in his community, Altieri currently serves as an elected member of Newtown Township (Delaware County), Board of Supervisors, wherein January of 2022, his colleagues elevated him to the position of Board Chair. Prior to his election to the Board of Supervisors in 2019, he served on the Marple Newtown Board of School Directors from 2013 to 2019, holding various leadership positions on the School Board. From 2015 to 2019, Altieri served as Chair of the Curriculum, Instruction and Technology Committee, as well as Chair of the Transportation and Facilities Committee from 2013 to 2014. Altieri also served on the Newtown Township Planning Commission from 2013 to 2018, serving as Commission Secretary from 2015 to 2018.

He received his J.D. from Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law and his B.A from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
