PHILADELPHIA (January 4, 2023) – Klehr Harrison Harvey Branzburg LLP is pleased to announce that Leonard B. Altieri, III, an associate in the Real Estate and Finance Department, has been unanimously reelected as Chairman of the Newtown Township Board of Supervisors. Altieri became the youngest supervisor in Newtown Township history when first elected in 2019 and the youngest chairman when elevated to that position in 2022.
“I love this community, having been raised in Newtown Township and having attended its local schools it has been an honor to serve as chair over the past year,” said Altieri.

Newtown Township, located in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, is governed by a five-member elected Board of Supervisors. The Board of Supervisors is charged with the general governance of the township and the execution of legislative, executive and administrative powers to ensure sound fiscal management and to secure the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the Township.
Altieri focuses his practice on the land use and zoning aspects of real estate development. He has experience representing various Municipalities and Zoning Hearing Boards where he advised and defended his clients on Zoning & Land Use, Federal Civil Rights, Political Subdivision Tort Claims Act, Public Official Liability and Premises Liability.
Prior to his election to the Board of Supervisors in 2019, he served on the Marple Newtown Board of School Directors from 2013 to 2019, holding various leadership positions on the School Board. From 2015 to 2019, Altieri served as Chair of the Curriculum, Instruction and Technology Committee, as well as Chair of the Transportation and Facilities Committee from 2013 to 2014. Altieri also served on the Newtown Township Planning Commission from 2013 to 2018, serving as Commission Secretary from 2015 to 2018.
He received his J.D. from Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law and his B.A. from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
