IMMEDIATE RELEASE – April 27, 2011
Mayor Michael Nutter recently visited the firm to meet with Klehr Harrison attorneys and clients to discuss issues impacting the City, including taxes, the new zoning code, a revitalized Center City, Market Street East, the political impact of changes in City Council, the new Convention Center, and arts and culture.
The Mayor stated that the economy in Philadelphia has fared better than other metropolitan areas, largely due to our meds and eds that have provided a buffer against private sector losses. He expects there will be a new zoning code in 2011 and real estate tax reform will follow. He also expressed the need for more hotels in the City and his desire to help hotel developers.
