Klehr Harrison Harvey Branzburg LLP is seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist. Qualified candidates will be highly focused with a strong attention to detail; have excellent technical and interpersonal skills, sound judgment; ability to prioritize workload; possess solid written and verbal communication skills; motivated self-starter who is able to work independently and also as part of a team.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Deposit checks daily. Process and post client payments to the accounting system (LMS).
Correspond directly with clients regarding missing payment information, duplicate payments,
discounts, payment plans, etc.
- Process client credit card payments.
- Deposit and post escrow retainer checks as well as draft outgoing checks.
- Assist in the preparation of tax & various filing documentation.
- Assist Accounting Manager, VP of Finance and CFO with various projects and initiatives.
- Prepare, analyze and distribute monthly Time, AR, Billing and Revenue reports
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Previous legal industry experience.
- Proactive and self-starting.
- Ability to work both independently, and collaboratively, as part of a team.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication/interpersonal skills.
- Polite and professional demeanor working with clients and co-workers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, strong Excel skills a must.
- Experience with SurePoint LMS a plus, but not required.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors’ degree in accounting, finance or business-related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience.
