Please join us for this Continuing Legal Education program sponsored by the Klehr Harrison Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee in partnership with the Real Estate & Finance and Zoning & Land Use Practice Groups.

This CLE is available to attend in person (complimentary lunch served) or online!

The panel will discuss the recently enacted tree and landscape Philadelphia Zoning Code provisions that are already profoundly impacting a wide range of residential, commercial and industrial development projects. This is a must-attend event for developers, engineers, architects, arborists and others involved with development in Philadelphia.

Topics will include:
– How the legislation promotes the city’s environmental equity goals of making trees and green spaces available to all city residents in all neighborhoods.
– A review of the legislation’s key elements, including increased planting requirements for parking lots, yard tree requirements for a range of projects, and the creation of a Fee in Lieu Of Option.
– An explanation of the roles that the City Planning Commission and the Department of Licenses and Inspections (“L & I”) play in administering these zoning code provisions.
– The process for obtaining hardship waivers.

Attorneys Brett Feldman and Stephanie Boggs Magagna will moderate a panel discussion featuring:

Katherine Gilmore Richardson – Philadelphia City Councilwoman At Large
Erica Smith Fichman – Acting Manager, Urban Forestry Unit, Philadelphia Parks & Recreation
Matt Wysong – Senior Planner, Philadelphia Planning Commission

This complimentary program will qualify for 1 hour of PA CLE ethics credit.*
