Christian focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation matters, assisting with all stages of legal proceedings in state and federal courts by conducting legal research and drafting memoranda, motions and briefs, and facilitating pre-trial discovery, document production, and trial preparation. His experience includes preparing and presenting oral arguments, conducting and defending depositions, and advocating at mediations and at trial.
Christian manages complex litigation from inception through trial. He develops and executes effective defense strategies in a range of matters, including presenting witnesses and delivering closing arguments before federal juries. In addition to his trial experience, Christian recognizes the value of dispute resolution and has guided clients through judicial and non-judicial mediations, as well as alternative dispute resolution processes such as mediation and arbitration.
Christian also maintains an extensive pro bono practice representing indigent clients across a range of matters. He is particularly active in cases advocating for incarcerated clients seeking justice for civil rights violations. His work has earned recognition, including from the Allegheny County Bar Foundation’s Pro Bono Achievement Awards in 2022.
Prior to joining the firm, Christian worked as a litigation associate in the Philadelphia office of an AM Law 100 firm. He received his J.D. from Boston University School of Law and served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Robert LeBlanc of the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court of Florida.
Christian is a passionate and committed advocate for diversity and inclusion. He serves on the board of trustees of the Philadelphia Bar Foundation, Philadelphia’s philanthropic hub for access to justice and the only foundation in Philadelphia solely dedicated to supporting the city’s legal services community. Christian is also an alumnus of The Leadership Council on Legal Diversity’s Pathfinder program, which is designed to increase diversity in the legal profession, and was a Philadelphia Diversity Law Group fellow. Within the Defense Research Institution (DRI), Christian is a member of both the Young Lawyers Division Steering Committee and the Artificial Intelligence Task Force, and served as a mentee in the inaugural DRI Diverse Rainmaker Mentoring Program.
