Representative Matters:

We advise startup companies across numerous verticals, including hardware platforms, consumer products, B2B providers, SAAS companies, healthcare as well as green and social initiatives, raising nearly $1 billion in aggregate capital with deal sizes ranging from a few hundred thousand dollars up to $100 million +.

• Represented a venture capital fund in its deployment of approximately $200,000,000 of capital to portfolio companies across a variety of technology verticals, including, AdTech, FinTech, MedTech and EdTech.
• Represented a hardware technology company throughout its entire lifecycle. Advising on its initial formation matters, representing them through several rounds of financing from angel investors, to venture capital through to corporate strategic investment. Culminating in an eventual acquisition by a Fortune 100 company resulting in substantial returns to both the client’s founders and investors.
• Represented an accelerator on its initial formation matters, including, the creation of onboarding and investment documents for its participant companies, assisted in the development of as well as took part in the accelerator’s participate programs and provided follow-on investment advice concerning its portfolio companies.
• Represented a distressed technology company through a restructuring and recapitalization resulting in an infusion of fresh capital by a new lead investor which eventually led to the client’s first year of profitability.

Attorneys Jason Acevedo and/or Patrick Murphy, Jr. are available for office hours virtually. Please join us to discuss legal issues that startups often have to address. Realizing the issues that many of you face, Klehr Harrison offers all startup clients five free hours of legal work with a signed engagement letter. Advance registration is required, and space is limited.
