Klehr Harrison DEI Committee Appoints Willan as New Chair

PHILADELPHIA (October 17, 2022) – Klehr Harrison Harvey Branzburg LLP is pleased to announce that Paige M. Willan, a partner in the Litigation Department, has been named Chair of the firm’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee. She succeeds Michael Coran, who led the group since its inception in 2020.

“I’m honored to take on this leadership role within the firm,” said Willan. “Having served on the committee from the beginning, I’m proud of the work that we have done to date, and of the plans we have to continue this work in the future.”

The DEI Committee’s mission is to strive for and improve diversity among the firm’s lawyers and staff, foster an inclusive work environment, improve the quality of every employee’s work experience and enable the firm to contribute to the community at large. With these objectives in mind, the firm founded the DEI Committee to focus on three main areas of work: recruiting, hiring, retention and advancement of attorneys and staff who identify with historically underrepresented groups in the legal industry; education on matters related to diversity, equity and inclusion through ongoing internal training, continuing legal education and external mentoring and internship programs; and supporting charitable, pro bono and community initiatives.

Willan is strategic and skilled in the handling of high-stakes business disputes in the federal and state courts of Pennsylvania and New York. She has tried and arbitrated complicated and intricate business litigation, including injunctions. She is skillful at understanding the technical elements of complex matters and diving into the details of hotly contested factual disputes. In July 2019, Willan was appointed to a six-year term as a member of the Pennsylvania Transportation Commission by Governor Wolf. Before becoming a member of the bar, Paige lived and worked in Ukraine for an organization promoting public diplomacy through educational and cultural exchange. She is fluent in Russian and proficient in Ukrainian.

She received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, cum laude and her B.A. from Bryn Mawr College, magna cum laude.
