PHILADELPHIA – Klehr Harrison Harvey Branzburg LLP is pleased to announce that effective January 1, 2024, D. Joseph Ferris, an attorney in the Bankruptcy and Restructuring and Litigation Departments, was elected to the firm’s partnership.

“I am excited for this new opportunity,” said Ferris. “I joined Klehr Harrison two years ago for the chance to advance my practice and contribute to the firm’s success, and the firm has supported those goals.”

Ferris is an aggressive and results-oriented commercial litigator and creditors’ rights attorney whose practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, including business divorces, commercial real estate disputes, corporate malfeasance, and UCC-related disputes. He assists and advises both lenders and commercial borrowers on a broad array of legal issues, including loan recoveries, workouts, restructures, and sophisticated asset protection plans. Ferris has been on the cutting edge of emerging legal issues, litigating legal disputes concerning the nascent cryptocurrency and cannabis industries. This includes litigating securities and commercial fraud disputes within the cryptocurrency mining industry, federal enforcement of contracts concerning medical cannabis, and other budding legal issues.

He earned his law degree from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law and his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Purdue University.
