PHILADELPHIA (January 6, 2021) – Klehr Harrison Harvey Branzburg LLP is pleased to announce the election of five attorneys to the firm’s partnership, effective January 1, 2021. The group includes Alison Besser Stoekl, Kyle W. Fox and Matthew J. McHugh, members of the firm’s Real Estate and Finance Department, Teri M. Sherman member of the firm’s Litigation Department and Michael W. Yurkewicz member of the firm’s Bankruptcy & Restructuring Department.

Besser Stoekl focuses her practice on real estate financing and the acquisition, disposition and development of real property. She is a key team member for some of the firm’s largest clients such as local and national developers, owners and investors in an array of commercial real estate finance matters. Best Lawyers named her to their “Ones to Watch” list for Real Estate Law in 2021. Super Lawyers also honored her as a “Pennsylvania Rising Star” for five consecutive years.
Fox has a breadth of experience handling commercial real estate transactions. He represents some of the firm’s largest national and local clients, including private equity firms, developers and retailers in the acquisition, disposition, leasing and development of a multitude of property types, including shopping center/retail, multifamily, office, hotel and industrial.
McHugh focuses his practice on real estate transactions, zoning, subdivision and land development approval processes. He leverages his connections and depth of experience to advise clients on a course of action that will best meet their goals. He also serves as the Solicitor for the Lower Southampton Township Zoning Hearing Board. He has been named to Super Lawyers’ “Pennsylvania Rising Stars” list for five consecutive years.
Sherman’s practice focuses on commercial contract and business tort litigation, commercial real estate disputes, corporate governance, IP/technology, and labor and employment disputes. She represents clients in investigations conducted by federal and state government agencies, as well as internal corporate investigations. In her labor and employment practice, Sherman has particular expertise in representing employers and individuals in trade secret and restrictive covenant disputes.
Yurkewicz, based in the Wilmington, DE office, focuses his practice on the representation of corporations in a broad range of transactional and litigation matters that confront businesses in financial distress and non-distressed businesses in their dealings with distressed companies. He represents debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, asset purchasers, trusts and appointed committees in complex bankruptcy proceedings.
