PHILADELPHIA (July 19, 2021) – Klehr Harrison is pleased to announce that D. Joseph Ferris has recently joined the firm as an associate in the Bankruptcy and Restructuring Department in the Philadelphia office.
“We’re excited to have Joe join our growing team,” said Frank Correll, Co-chair of the Bankruptcy and Restructuring Department. “He brings a diverse set of skills and experiences that will complement the work done by our department.”
Ferris is a creditors’ rights attorney and commercial litigator who represents traditional and non-traditional lenders in litigation and related matters, including commercial litigation, commercial bankruptcies, commercial foreclosures and workouts. He has extensive experience litigating lender liability and related claims brought by defaulting commercial borrowers. He assists and advises lenders on a broad array of lender-related issues, including loan recoveries, workouts, restructures, settlement negotiations and complex judgment enforcement. He also has extensive knowledge of corporate matters such as corporate governance and deal documents.
Before joining the firm, Ferris worked as a senior associate in the Philadelphia office of a large law firm.
He earned his J.D. from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law and his B.A., cum laude, from Purdue University.
