Join ACC Greater Philadelphia – Association of Corporate Counsel and Litigation Department co-chairs Jonathan Krause, Grant Phelan and Paige Willan for an exclusive in-person roundtable, “Dollars & Business Sense: Translating Employment Risk into Business Strategy,” on Thursday, August 13.

This roundtable will be a discussion among in-house counsel facing the practical challenges of advising and communicating with business leaders on employment-related risk and strategy. Together, participants will explore how legal issues are evaluated through the lenses of financial performance, operational impact, talent management, and reputation—not just legal exposure.

The conversation will examine questions such as who truly bears the cost of litigation, including the often-overlooked effects on productivity, employee morale, leadership attention and brand perception. Using examples drawn from restrictive covenant enforcement and EEOC/discrimination claims, participants will discuss how legal decisions can influence business outcomes and organizational culture.

The discussion will also consider the evolving role of employment counsel as a strategic advisor—helping organizations determine whether disputes reflect external market pressures, internal cultural dynamics, or a combination of both—in making smarter, economically grounded decision-making.

Attendees will enjoy a buffet dinner during the roundtable discussion. No CLE Credit will be offered for this program.
