PHILADELPHIA (April 9, 2025) – Klehr Harrison Harvey Branzburg LLP is pleased to announce that Elizabeth Webb Bucilla and Matthew J. McDonald have been appointed Vice-Chairs of the firm’s Education Practice Group. Bucilla is a partner in the Corporate and Securities Department. McDonald is a partner in the Litigation Department. They join Bill Matthews, who serves as Chair of the Education Practice Group and Co-Chair of the Corporate and Securities Department.

Bucilla provides general corporate counseling services, including in her role as general counsel to universities in the Greater Philadelphia region through which she provides governance support and negotiates commercial agreements on behalf of various institutions. Bucilla also has an extensive middle-market M&A transactional practice at both the regional and national levels. She represents a range of clients from private equity firms and start-ups to family-owned businesses on the buy-side and sell-side.
She received her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law and her B.A. from Tufts University.
McDonald assists clients with all aspects of employment and commercial litigation. He has extensive experience litigating disputes concerning violations of noncompetition and nonsolicitation agreements, thefts of trade secrets by competitors and/or former employees and breaches of an employee’s duty of loyalty. McDonald also regularly defends the full spectrum of discrimination and retaliation claims, including claims brought under Title VII, ADEA, FMLA, ADA, SOX and Dodd-Frank. His practice is nationwide, and has included matters before numerous federal and state courts, governmental agencies and departments including the EEOC, OCR, OSHA, DOL, FINRA and SEC, and in a wide range of arbitration forums.
He received his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center and his B.S., magna cum laude, from Bentley University.
