Klehr Harrison Welcomes Back Stephen Burdumy

PHILADELPHIA Klehr Harrison Harvey Branzburg LLP is pleased to share that Stephen T. Burdumy has rejoined the firm as Of Counsel in the Corporate & Securities Department based in its Philadelphia office. Burdumy brings decades of experience advising public and private companies, boards of directors, private equity and venture capital funds, and financial institutions on complex corporate, securities, and transactional matters. His practice spans mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, corporate governance, investment management, financings, regulatory matters, and strategic transactions across a broad range of industries.

Burdumy currently serves as Chief Business Officer, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Footprint International Holdco, Inc., a disruptive international materials science and sustainability technology company. In that role, he oversees global legal operations and provides strategic, operational, and business support across capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, governance, compliance, intellectual property, ESG and sustainability initiatives, risk management, and board matters. He will continue in those roles while practicing with the firm.

“I’m excited to be rejoining Klehr Harrison and reconnecting with a firm and colleagues I’ve long respected,” said Burdumy. “The firm’s culture, talent, and commitment to sophisticated, business-focused counsel are stronger than ever. “Having spent the past several years in senior business and leadership roles, I understand firsthand the operational, governance, and capital-markets pressures executives and in-house legal departments face in today’s challenging business environment. I look forward to bringing that experience and perspective to Klehr Harrison’s clients as they navigate complex strategic and business challenges.”

“Steve’s return to Klehr Harrison is both professionally meaningful and strategically important for the firm,” said William Matthews, III, Co-Chair of the Klehr Harrison Corporate Department. “His combination of top-tier transactional experience and real-world business leadership gives him a perspective few lawyers possess. He understands how boards, management teams and in-house counsel think and operate, and that insight will be invaluable to our clients.”

“We are delighted to be welcoming Steve back home to Klehr Harrison. Steve’s combination of deep transactional experience and senior in-house leadership is rare in today’s market,” said Brad Krouse, the Managing Partner of Klehr Harrison Harvey Branzburg LLP. “His ability to advise boards and executives from both a legal and business perspective makes him a tremendous addition to our firm and an immediate asset to our clients.”

Earlier in his career, Burdumy was a Chambers-ranked Partner in the Corporate and Securities practice of a national law firm, where he served three terms as Managing Partner and also as Partner in Charge of Strategy and Growth. His practice focused on representing public and private companies, private equity, growth equity and venture capital firms, investment managers, banks and financial institutions in public and private securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, financings, and investment transactions. He also regularly acted as outside general counsel and strategic advisor to boards of directors and senior management teams.
